Description

On a cold November evening, I was at Wisemans View overlooking Linville Gorge. A full moon lit up the whole gorge just when the autumn colors were peaking. My original purpose was to catch the mysterious Brown Mountain Lights, but instead got a great shot of Linville Gorge by moonlight. Table Rock Mountain is visible on the right, and the constellation Orion is rising above the horizon. The town of Morganton is in the distance. Very little activity with the lights that night, but I still got some great shots of the Gorge.
